Poppy (to Mouse): Hey honey, thank you so much for watching the little man for us.
Mouse (to Poppy): He was no problem at all. Did you get back your niece? Is everything okay?
Poppy (to Mouse): Yes... it's a long story, honey & I'm exhausted. Vincent came home & immediately crashed. He'll probably sleep for awhile. I just really wanted to get Victor home. Tell Eep, I said thank you... Oh, and we'd love to have you over for dinner sometime this week if you're both up for it.
Mouse (to Poppy): I'll pass the word onto Eep & see what night might work. Give Vincent a hug for me. So long, Victor.
Poppy (to Mouse): Will do, honey. Take care.
A few hours later:
Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, are you going to let me into the bedroom any time soon? I'm guessing you're still mad at me. I totally understand... Dinner will be ready in a little bit, if you want any.
Vincent (to Poppy): If I had pulled something like that, you would have shot me.
Poppy (to Vincent): I know, honey... I don't know how many more times I can say I'm sorry. I just didn't want anyone to get hurt because of me.
Vincent (to Poppy): Poppy, you're my wife! I... Good heavens, I don't even know what to say to that.
Poppy (to Vincent): Just say what you have to say, honey. I know you've been quietly stewing for hours. I don't think you've ever gone this long without saying anything to me before.
Vincent (to Poppy): We can't keep doing things the way we're used to, hun. We're a family now. I know you didn't want anyone else to get hurt... I know we're both used to operating with some impunity, but what happens to you or me happens to Victor now.
Poppy (to Vincent): I know, honey... I don't know what else to say.
