A Strange & Winding Road: Day 44

Poppy (to Vincent): Good morning, honey... Here, take your son. He's all fed and freshly changed. I'm to go for a workout.

Vincent (to Poppy): Hee hee. So he is. Hello, little man. Are you going to hang out with me while Mommy punches things? You're wasting no time getting back into the swing of things, lover. You did not enjoy being pregnant one bit, did you?

Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, I couldn't see my toes & felt awkward waddling about, my clothes always felt too tight... I'm just happy to be able to move around like a normal person again. And, I refuse to be a whale until I'm 80, honey.

Vincent (to Poppy): Hee hee hee. Alright. Alright. It wasn't an admonishment, hun, just an observation. And why do I highly suspect I'm going to get swept up in this typhoon of activity?

Poppy (to Vincent): Not at all, honey, you're on babysitting duty. Master Farinelli has arrived & he wanted to ruin me through my paces.

Vincent (to Victor): You know what that means, Victor? You're my ticket to not getting sweaty first thing in the morning. Itty bitty high five! (to Poppy) Do you mind an audience, hun, or would that be too distracting? I'm dead curious about Master Farinelli.

Poppy (to Vincent): I don't mind, honey. This should be fun.

Vincent (to Poppy): Hee hee. A smart man would run at the sight of that grin of yours. Fortunately, no one's ever accused me of being particularly bright. Lead the way, hun.

Poppy (to Vincent): Yes, but you're handsome which makes up for your intellect, honey. :-P

Vincent (to Poppy): Don't forget my charm, lover. Without it how else would I have ever managed to grab your attention?

Poppy (to Vincent): Heehee... Silly me! How could I have left that out. Clearly, it was your charm that won me over, lover.

A couple hours later:

Poppy (to Vincent): Hand me Victor, honey, so you can give it a try, if you like.

Vincent (to Poppy): You just want to see me get knocked on my butt. (to Victor) Do you see this, Victor? Your mother wants to humiliate me. Oops. Hee hee. He's asleep. I tell you, I get no support anywhere in this family. (to Poppy) There's one fatal flaw in your plan, hun.

Poppy (to Vincent): I support you, honey, when I think you deserve it... What is the fatal flaw?

Vincent (to Poppy): I have no shame. :-P Alright, let's give it a go. Promise you won't think too little of me after this.

Poppy (to Vincent): I could never think less of you, honey, I love you. Besides, I have faith in your abilities, you just need to hone them a bit.

Vincent (to Poppy): Hee hee. You say that now... Besides, if I act all modest, and then don't manage to utterly humiliate myself, then I look good. :-P

Poppy (to Vincent): Heehee, you always look good, handsome. ;-)

An hour or so later:

Vincent (to Poppy): Oh, good heavens. I think I need a shower. Possibly two. How's Victor doing, lover? He sounded a bit fussy.

Poppy (to Vincent): He's fine, honey, he's just hungry again... I should ask Klaude to come up with some kind of sling to carry him around in.

Vincent (to Poppy): Didn't my sister give us some kind of papoose thing-a-mabob? Did we return that thinking we wouldn't need it? That was dumb.

Poppy (to Vincent): You did well, honey. I'm proud of you.

Vincent (to Poppy): I didn't do too badly. I was only a mild embarrassment rather than a major one. Hee hee. Ooo. Ouch. I'm going to be sore in the morning. Wait. Scratch that. I'm sore now.

Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, let me put Victor down & then I'll show you some stretches to help with the soreness. And maybe a massage. ;-)

Vincent (to Poppy): Hmmm. My goodness... That certainly sounds promising.
