Victor (to Persephone): Pssst! You didn't get in too much trouble with your parents did you?
Persephone (to Victor): Father was furious... He may not let me come and stay with you & the family for the summer. Grunt!
Victor (to Persephone): Oh dear. Did he give you the "that boy's a bad influence" speech again? I'll see if I can't get Mom to change his mind.
Persephone (to Victor): Yeah, he even threw in a "that boy's trouble just like his father" for good measure. It's so not fair... Auntie had promised to continue my sword fighting lessons this summer if I kept practicing & I have been everyday, just like she insisted. If I don't get to stay with you, it's going to be another dreary summer working in the inn.
Victor (to Persephone): Hee hee. Heaven forbid I turn out like my father. He's a goody two shoes. It's my mother he should worry about! ;-} Besides, the inn's not so bad.
Persephone (to Victor): You're only saying that, because you don't have to work here everyday & you remember that alternate timeline... And I'm still a bit cross at you for not taking me with you, cousin dear.
Victor (to Persephone): I'm not sure I can do the time slip with both of us there! You know that. Besides, how would I have explained BOTH of us? Don't pout! Nothing interesting even happened. I spent all of my time watching my parents flirt & call each other "lover."
Persephone (to Victor): Fair enough... I certainly wouldn't have been able to control the laughter. But, still were they really as much trouble as Dad is always claiming? He goes on & on about the time Uncle kept coming around, acting like an idjit. Ma says they were adorable & tells him to hush when he goes on like that.
Victor (to Persephone): I don't know if I would use the word adorable. Uncomfortable, maybe... And from the sounds of it, they seem to get themselves in a fair bit of trouble.
Persephone (to Victor): See, that's why I should have gone with you! I could have been the unemotional observer. :-P You're too attached to the fact that they're your parents... I wouldn't have that problem.
Victor (to Persephone): Oh, alright! If I figure out how to time slip with a passenger, I'll take you to meet them sometime.
Persephone (to Victor): Moo! That's all I ask. You are my favoritest cousin!
Victor (to Persephone): You say I'm your favorite every time I let you get your way, Seph!
Persephone (to Victor): Well, yes... That's why you're my favorite. :-P Now, I just need to figure out how to not be in trouble... Wait... What happened when your parents found out about us portal jumping? Or do they still not know?
Victor (to Persephone): Of course they know about me portal jumping; they REMEMBER. They didn't know I've been taking you. Oh no. Unless your parents told them I've been taking you.Which I'm guessing they will. Oh dear...
Persephone (to Victor): Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Boo. Grunt. Well, on the bright side, maybe, you'll be stuck working at the inn with me.
Victor (to Persephone): For the rest of my natural life. Ooo. I doubt even Aunt Mouse can get me out of trouble this time. They'll probably slap that inhibitor on me again. Grunt, indeed.
Persephone (to Victor): Well, I happen to have it on good authority that a certain young lady & her friend are booked at the inn for this weekend while they're visiting the big city... So, it won't be all bad for you. Maybe, you should offer yourself up as a sacrifice & beg for mercy, then they'll be thrown off.
Victor (to Persephone): I don't know which young lady of which you're speaking.
Persephone (to Victor): The blonde one that was here a month ago with her parents... You kept making eyes at her. She kept tossing her hair at you. I can't believe you don't remember her... you were acting starry eyed for days later.
Victor (to Persephone): I was not! I mean... I don't know what you're talking about.
Persephone (to Victor): Oh, I see... No, you're right... I had you confused with Martin. She's probably more his type anyway... Maybe, I should introduce the two of them.
Victor (to Persephone): Martin! That creepy little Scottish troll? She would never... Crap. OK, FINE. I know who you mean. Her name is Fiona.
Persephone (to Victor): Heehee, that would be the one. She liked the inn SO much, that she's coming back on her own with her friend, Nanette. Want me to see if I can get Ma to agree to let you stay the weekend?
Victor (to Persephone): I have a feeling once my parents find out about our little jaunts, I'll never be going anywhere ever again. But I certainly wouldn't mind staying the weekend if there will be such lovely company. You're not going to let me hear the end of this, are you?
Persephone (to Victor): Who me? I wouldn't do that... I mean, just because you teased me mercilessly about my one date with Ethan. I shall take the high road. Besides, I like it when you have a girlfriend, it means I have someone to gossip with about girlie things. And, if I don't like them, I just act appalling & they leave me alone. It's win win, really.
Victor (to Persephone): Oh, Ethan was a bore! You can do so much better than him. Besides, I didn't scare him away, that was your father.
Persephone (to Victor): Oh, I know it was Da who scared him off, but you kept joking about how he was so dull that you forgot he was in the room.
Victor (to Persephone): It's not my fault the davenport was better at holding a conversation than he was!
Persephone (to Victor): Well, maybe if you hadn't kept mentioning the fact that your Dad was a pirate, he would have had something to say. But, no matter, He's out of the picture. Pity, really. He had a box at the theatre & there was a play I really wanted to see.
Victor (to Persephone): Ah ha! So THAT was your game. I couldn't figure out why you were bothering with him. I didn't know what it was about him that kept your attention for so long.
Persephone (to Victor): I find your lack of faith disturbing, young Victor. Of course, there was a reason... Do I ever not have one? :-p
Victor (to Persephone): Not for as long as I've known you... Which would be my whole life, so no.
Persephone (to Victor): Besides, my standards are set so incredibly high. Look at every member of our family, it's tough to compete with all of that.
Persephone (to Victor): Father was furious... He may not let me come and stay with you & the family for the summer. Grunt!
Victor (to Persephone): Oh dear. Did he give you the "that boy's a bad influence" speech again? I'll see if I can't get Mom to change his mind.
