Eep (to Marlena): Woah, woah, woah. Where're you running off to?
Marlena (to Eep): Oh... I was trying to find Mister Skeleton? He was just here. He was going to have the picnic with Miss Pony & Mister He-man.
Eep (to Marlena): Where did you last... Wait. Is this him in the fridge?
Marlena (to Eep): Yes... How did he get in there? Bad Mister Skeleton.
Eep (to Marlena): Well, make sure he and his friends don't go in the fridge anymore, alright? If you need something outa here, ask me or Mom.
Marlena (to Eep): Okay. Thank you for finding him for me, Daddy. He'd be sad to miss the picnic. Come on, Mister Skeleton.
Mouse (to Eep & Marlena): Good morning, sweet husband & child o' mine. (to Eep) Did you notice the coffee made?
Eep (to Mouse): Yeah. Thanks.
Marlena (to Mouse): Mommy, you've been awake forever.
Mouse (to Marlena): I know I have, because someone wanted me to see the birds in the backyard for some ungodly reason.
Marlena (to Mouse): There was a bunch of them. It was pretty.
Mouse (to Marlena): Yes, it was. But it could have been prettier at a more reasonable hour, sweetie. You know how much I hate waking up early. (to Eep) So, want any breakfast or is coffee enough? I can whip up an omelet or something.
Marlena (to Mouse): Heehee, sorry, Mommy.
Eep (to Marlena & Mouse): Heh. Madre de Dios, que es demasiado pronto para esto, señoras. (to Mouse) No, no. Coffee's alright for right now.
Marlena (to Eep): Lo siento, papá.
Mouse (to Eep): Sorry... We're still kinda used to being on our own. Speaking of which, I was thinking of giving you a break from us for a couple days...
Eep (to Marlena): Uh... Wow. Muy bueno. ¿Sabía mamá te enseñan a hablar español? (to Mouse) Um, no. No! It's OK. It's not like I mind. Having you guys here, I mean. A break? Where, I mean, what... Is everything OK?
Marlena (to Eep): No, era la señora Gardner. Mommy's terrible at Spanish. Mrs. Gardner asked her to stop trying.
Mouse (to Eep): Everything is fine. I wanted to go up north to visit my parents grave, it's been awhile for me. I just thought Mars & I could get out of your hair for a few days & I'd like to show her where I grew up. (to Marlena) Hush you! Mon espagnol peut-être mauvais, mais mon français est impeccable.
Eep (to Marlena & Mouse): Heh. Oh. OK. If you wanna go by yourselves, that's, um, it's fine. But, you haven't been bugging me or anything. Just so you know.
Mouse (to Eep): Oh well, I just thought that, you might like a little alone time. If you don't want us to go, we can hold off & maybe, make it a family excursion. I mean, if you want to go with us, that is... I remember you not being all that crazy about the weather up there. (to Marlena) Mars sweetie, please-- (to Eep) I just know you've had a lot to adjust to in the last few weeks, so I just thought you might want some time. Mars & I can be a bit insular & well, intense, sometimes. But, if you're fine, I won't do it then.
Marlena (to Eep): Go to my bedroom? I'm going, Mommy.
Eep (to Mouse): Is she? I hadn't really noticed intense. Smart as hell, yeah. Scary smart, actually. Um, it's been easier, for me anyway... It's easier with you guys here. It kinda... forces me to cope. That's the wrong words. But, um, reminds me. You know... Why it's important. And, I've liked getting to know her. I've missed a lot, and, it's dumb, but I don't wanna miss more. With both you guys. And leaving me on my own for a couple of days, might not be... I get weird left on my own. Oh. But, if you need time or space, you know. To think or shit. I don't want you to... I mean, you can totally take time off.
Mouse (to Eep): No, no... I've missed you. I was just worried that we were in the way. I know Mars and I are still getting used to being over on this side, but you just acquired a whole family. But, like I said, if you don't mind us being here, then we're good.
Eep (to Mouse): Yeah, well... if I didn't wanna acquire a family with you, I wouldn't have married you.
Mouse (to Eep): Just please tell me if you'd like some alone time. I won't take offense, I promise.
Eep (to Mouse): But, I will. If I feel like I need some breathing room, I'll let you know. Um, you'll do the same, right?
Mouse (to Eep): Of course... So, any interest in curling up on the couch and watching a movie with us? Mars is in desperate need of lessons on the Muppets. So, I thought we could watch the first three movies.
Eep (to Mouse): Heh. No child of mine is gonna go through life without learning about the Muppets.
Mouse (to Eep): My sentiment, exactly. I'll go grab the child, blankets, & snacks. You set up the first movie.
Eep (to Mouse): On it.
Mouse (to Marlena): Mars sweetie, you can come out of your room, now. How would you like to watch a movie with me & your dad?
Marlena (to Mouse): Ooooo, I'd like that.
Mouse (to Marlena): Well then, come on.
A couple hours later:
Poppy (to Vincent): Oh... Good morning, lover. I didn't expect you to be up just yet. I was hoping to surprise you with breakfast.
Vincent (to Poppy): Ah. So I see. Thank you. I've been up for a while.
Poppy (to Vincent): I'm sorry I took off like I did, honey... It was the Colonel. He's gone missing.
Vincent (to Poppy): Is everything alright?
Poppy (to Vincent): No... He's disappeared without a trace. I went to see Gerald & Cecily and see if I could figure out where he went. But, whoever took him covered their tracks pretty well. The clue is that he had gone to meet a woman about a business arrangement a few days ago & that was the last they saw of him. It's not like him to just vanish.
Vincent (to Poppy): Good heavens. Why didn't you just tell me? I thought... God, nevermind. I'm so sorry. I know what the Colonel means to you.
Poppy (to Vincent): I didn't want you to come after me with guns blazing, if it was nothing. And, honestly I was worried that it was Hiiri... But, she's not usually this subtle about what she's up to. I'm just going to have to keep hoping he turns up soon.
Vincent (to Poppy): Well, I almost came after you guns a-blazin anyhow. I'm going to have to go see Sasha and beg for my job back, I fear.
Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, I'm so sorry. I didn't want to not tell you that I was going, but I had to go check. He's the closest thing I ever had to a father... Which is really sad when I say it out loud. So, go ahead, commence with the yelling at me. Here's some coffee & I believe there's some lovely french pastries in the box.
Vincent (to Poppy): I know, hun. I'm not mad because you wanted to check it out, but your call last night... It made me think you were going after Hiiri by yourself. And then Jacob went and opened his big, fat gob...
Poppy (to Vincent): What did Jacob say, honey? I certainly didn't tell him where I was going.
Vincent (to Poppy): He tried to keep me from leaving the bar by telling me I didn't need to worry about you because you were the Magpie, a trained ISS assassin. Like that was going to make me feel better about the whole damn thing.
Poppy (to Vincent): WHAT!?! How did he-- That's just ridiculous, honey. Where on earth did he come up with that? Writers are so prone to the fantastical. Can you imagine me as, what did you call me, the Magpie? That's just silly.
Vincent (to Poppy): Don't play dumb with me, Poppy. *I* know who the Magpie is, so I'm sure you do as well. And, honestly? Yes. I can imagine it.
Poppy (to Vincent): Well, that's nice to know that you can imagine me being a killer, honey. How-- No, I don't even want to know how Jacob found out about it. I don't really know what to say.
Vincent (to Poppy): That's not what I meant and you know it! I can't help but notice you've neither confirmed or denied it, hun. Now who's lying via omission?
Poppy (to Vincent): The Magpie isn't me, honey... at least not anymore. I stopped doing that kind of work right before I went to work for Tesla. In fact that was why I was sent to act as bodyguard & assistant for Tesla. The ISS knew that Edison had put a hit on him, and the director with a recommendation from Margaux sent me. They thought who best to stop an assassin than an assassin. And, I didn't want to do that kind of thing, anymore. I was only seventeen & I had already done too much. Margaux was actually worried about me. She said that if I kept doing that kind of work, I would lose my humanity... Ironic, that I was used for an automaton. I thought it was a fitting punishment.
Vincent (to Poppy): I know you don't want to do that kind of work, hun. You said as much. That's why I was terrified you were going after Hiiri. For one, she's a fucking psycho. For two, if you succeeded, I didn't know what kind of shape you'd be in when you got home. Why didn't you tell me this?
Poppy (to Vincent): I've been trying to tell you all along, but you weren't paying attention. When you told me about the Reliant, I told you that I was involved in a few deaths, but you never asked me about them any further, so I let it go. I was grateful because I'd really rather forget about that part of my life. I wasn't in a good place when Margaux found me...She gave me a purpose but I don't think she realized how broken I was until it was almost too late.
Vincent (to Poppy): In my defense, hun, "BTW: I used to be an assassin" isn't something you can really hint at. Unless you're leaving copies of the Bourne Identity around with pictures of your head tapped over Matt Damon's face. But, you're right, hun. I didn't ask, because I knew you didn't want to talk about it. I can't now pout because I didn't know. Come here for a minute. I'm sorry, hun. I really am.
Poppy (to Vincent): I'm sorry, too. Honestly, I just didn't have the nerve to tell you.
Vincent (to Poppy): I know, lover. You were afraid I might find it too sexy, and start requesting assassin and pirate roll play in the bedroom. Ooch! I'm kidding! KIDDING. Be delicate, woman!
Poppy (to Vincent): Sometimes, you're a bit of an ass, lover. But, it IS a good thing I find you so damn sexy.
Vincent (to Poppy): Heh. A damn good thing. I'm not sure why Margaux recommended you to the ISS to babysit me, but I'm glad she did.
Poppy (to Vincent): Who knows, honey? She's always been a bit of an enigma to me. In the seven years or so that I've known her, I still don't know that much about her. I'm not even sure if Margaux is her real name.
Vincent (to Poppy): I doubt it. No one's real name is Margaux. ... If you keep that up, hun, our coffee is going to get cold.
Poppy (to Vincent): And, that would be a bad thing, honey?
Vincent (to Poppy): It is if you want hot coffee. Personally, I think it's overrated.
Poppy (to Vincent): ... Well, let me just set yours down over here. I clearly need to make things up to you, lover.
Vincent (to Poppy): Clearly.
A few hours later:
Percy (to Poppy & Vincent): Knock, knock sweeties? Poppy? Vincent?
Vincent (to Percy): Percy! Good heavens don't just walk in, hun!
Percy (to Vincent): Sorry, but it's important! Though, at some juncture you're really going to have to explain to me the allure of the kitchen floor.
Vincent (to Percy): What do you want, Percy?
Percy (to Vincent & Poppy): Hmmm? Oh right! Love the apron, by the way... Belinda messaged me. Miranda's gone missing.
Vincent (to Percy): Stop leering, Percy, it's... Wait. What did you say?
Percy (to Vincent & Poppy): Poppy asked me to let her know if any of your other acquaintances have gone missing... So far, I discovered that Miranda went missing a day ago. Belinda just contacted me back after I sent her a message checking on them.
Vincent (to Percy): Oh God... (to Poppy) You think it's Hiiri, don't you?
Poppy (to Vincent): Now, I most definitely do. It can't possibly be a coincidence that both the Colonel & Miranda have gone missing.
Percy (to Vincent & Poppy): What do you want me to do?
Poppy (to Percy): I'm not sure... I need to think.
Vincent (to Percy): Bernard and Molly, hun. Please. We'll give you a call when we figure out what we should do next.
Percy (to Vincent & Poppy): I'm on it. I'll keep them safe. I won't leave the inn until you tell me, otherwise.
Vincent (to Percy): Thank you. (to Poppy) Sweetie? Are you alright?
Poppy (to Vincent): Hmmmm? Oh yes... I was just thinking, honey. Something doesn't feel right about these kidnappings.
Vincent (to Poppy): What is it?
Poppy (to Vincent): Well, for one, why kidnap them, at all? Why not simply kill them? And secondly, why be so discreet? She's not normally so shy and reserved. I mean, she mutilated the clone & left it on display... I'm just trying to figure out what her angle is.
Vincent (to Poppy): We need to go talk to my sister.
Poppy (to Vincent): What is it, honey? Do you have an idea what it might mean?
Vincent (to Poppy): No, but she might. When she told me she kept a diary full of information that she thought might help take Hiiri down, I don't think she was lying, hun. I think she sent me after the wrong book.
Poppy (to Vincent): Heh... Well, that certainly would be what I would do, honey, if I was concerned that you wouldn't stop hunting Hiiri… which I am.
Vincent (to Poppy): She's not leaving us very many other options, sweetie.
Poppy (to Vincent): I know, honey. Let's go see your sister.
A short time later:
Vincent (to Eep): Hey, Slim. Is my sister home?
Eep (to Vincent): Uh, yeah. She's inside watching Muppets Take Manhattan with Mars. I came out to grab a cigarette. Everything alright?
Poppy (to Eep): We just had a couple questions for her, honey.
Eep (to Vincent): In other words, no. Hang tight. I'll go get her. (to Mouse) Hey, your brother and Poppy wanna talk to you. They're out on the porch with Victor.
Mouse (to Eep): That's weird... (to Eep & Marlena) I guess, I'll be right back. Go ahead and keep watching the movie.
Eep (to Mouse): See you in a bit. (to Marlena) What's going on now?
Marlena (to Eep): Kermit's wearing a suit.
Mouse (to Vincent & Poppy): Hey there! You don't have to lurk out here on the porch. Want to join us for movie time? ... Oh wait, this isn't a social call, is it? What's going on?
Vincent (to Mouse): Friends of ours have been quietly disappearing in Britannia, hun. The only connection they have with one another, so far, has been Poppy and I. And Hiiri.
Mouse (to Vincent): Oh... That's awful. What do you need from me?
Vincent (to Mouse): Is there ANYTHING that you can tell us that will help us work out what she's doing? I know the diary you sent me to find was a red herring, but that doesn't mean you didn't keep a real one.
Mouse (to Vincent): Damn it, little brother... You're like a terrier with rat. You're just not going to let go, are you? Fine... Come into the kitchen, at least. We're attracting attention out here on the porch... I'll get you my journal.
Vincent (to Mouse): At this point I don't have a choice, hun. Hiiri's going to keep upping the stakes. I'll be right in. (to Poppy) I'll be right in, lover. I just want to clear my head for a moment.
Mouse (to Vincent): No, you're right. It's time she's stopped.
Poppy (to Vincent): Alright, honey.
Mouse (to Poppy): Here you go, Poppy.
Poppy (to Mouse): Thank you. I know this whole thing has been really difficult for you, honey. And, I know you want everyone to be safe, but it looks like we don't really have a choice, anymore. Too many people could be hurt-- Wait. Does this say what I think it does?
Mouse (to Poppy): What? It just says Hiiri was chatting with O'Malley & Drake about unions. I didn't know what they meant.
Poppy (to Mouse): Well, I think I do...
Vincent (to Poppy & Mouse): Sorry to leave you to your own devices, ladies, I... What's going on?
Poppy (to Mouse & Vincent): I don't think Hiiri's kidnapping the Colonel & Miranda because of us... I think it has to do with the agreement she had with O'Malley & Drake. She's trying to finish whatever she started with that. (to Mouse) Did you ever meet Miranda, at all?
Mouse (to Poppy): I did, once or twice. I think she had just turned 18 & Grace was bringing her into town for the first time... But, what does this have to do with anything?
Poppy (to Mouse & Vincent): I think Hiiri was trying to unite the O'Malley family with the Drakes. And, I think the Colonel is a wedding present to Drake. Since, he was involved with the whole Vincent kidnapping fiasco.
Vincent (to Poppy): She wants to marry Miranda off to one of the Drakes? Good God. Poor Miranda!
Poppy (to Vincent): That's what I'm guessing, honey. There's probably more to it, but according to these notes, that would make the most sense. And, explain why they haven't turned up dead.
Mouse (to Poppy & Vincent): But, Grace & Drake despised each other. Why would they agree? ... Ooooh wait. I think I know.
Vincent (to Mouse): What's that, hun?
Mouse (to Vincent): Little brother, have you ever heard of "La Isla de las Puertas"?
Poppy (to Mouse): What are you going on about, honey?
Mouse (to Poppy & Vincent): There was a story floating around that there is an island in the uncharted territories that could take you anywhere you could imagine. Essentially, an island of portals. Pretty tempting to a bunch of pirates... Drake once boasted to me that he knew where to find one of the clues to the coordinates to the island.
Vincent (to Mouse): Mmm. Supposedly Drake has Pedro de la Plesa's sword, who "found" it in the 1600s.
Mouse (to Poppy & Vincent): Yes, but Grace once mentioned that she had a medallion worn by de le Plesa's wife, which had been hinted as having one of the coordinates. And, if that's true. Then, you put them together & what do you get?
Poppy (to Mouse): A very good reason to join your families together... But, what's Hiiri's angle, honey?
Vincent (to Poppy & Mouse): If she's been spliced with Victor's DNA, hun, she won't need a device to walk through those portals, will she? And I'm guessing it won't take much for her to use them to hit certain points in time, either.
Poppy (to Vincent): You're right, honey… So, it looks like we have a wedding to crash & possibly a good old fashioned treasure hunt.
Vincent (to Poppy): Don't forget a bride to kidnap. Oh dear. Grace is REALLY going to hate me. She might send decent bounty hunters after this.
Poppy (to Vincent): Not this time, honey... Because, unlike your last encounter, this time you have me.
Mouse (to Poppy & Vincent): So, do you need us to watch Victor, again?
Vincent (to Mouse): Please. Hiiri still wants to do me bodily harm, and I still think Victor plays into her schemes somehow.
Mouse (to Vincent): Alright, little brother. (to Poppy & Vincent) Be careful, you two!
Vincent (to Mouse): I will, hun. I love you. We'll see you soon.
Mouse (to Vincent): I love you, too. (to Poppy) Please keep him safe, Poppy.
Poppy (to Mouse): Don't worry, I will, honey.
Mouse (to Eep & Marlena): Well, it looks like we have a visitor...
Eep (to Mouse): Oh. We've got Victor again, huh?
Mouse (to Eep): Looks that way... (to Marlena & Eep) He looks like he's ready for sleep. So, I'm gonna go put him down.
Marlena (to Eep): Is Victor going to be my little brother?
Eep (to Marlena): What? We're just watching him for his mom and dad. They'll be back soon.
Marlena (to Eep): Oh... Can I have my own little brother, then?
Eep (to Marlena): Oh. Um, I'm sure you'll get your own little brother or sister someday. Do you want a little brother?
Marlena (to Eep): Yeah... We'll be just like Mommy and Vincent.
Eep (to Marlena): Oh yeah? What kind of stuff would you do with your little brother?
Marlena (to Eep): I'd um, teach him to climb trees... and, um, I don't know... draw?
Eep (to Marlena): Well, you do draw really well. Until you get a brother, maybe you can teach Victor to do all those things when he's older.
Marlena (to Eep): Oh, okay. Can I pretend he's my brother?
Eep (to Marlena): Sure. I don't think anyone will mind.
Mouse (to Eep): Hey. What's with the face? Are you okay? (to Marlena) Were you driving your dad crazy while I was gone?
Marlena (to Mouse): Daddy said that Victor can be my brother until I get one of my own.
Eep (to Marlena): I said you could PRETEND he's your brother. His mom and dad are gonna wanna take him home, you know.
Marlena (to Eep & Mouse): Right.
Mouse (to Marlena): Why don't you get yourself ready for bed, sweetie? One of us will be into tuck you in shortly, ok? (to Eep) You sure you don't want a break from us? :-P
Marlena (to Mouse): Okay.
Eep (to Mouse): Heh. Yeah, well, I know which side of the family she gets the tendency to adopt random kids as siblings. I think I'll survive.
Mouse (to Eep): Hey... I resemble that remark. :-P
Eep (to Mouse): Heh. Yeah. That was the point. Speaking of which, what did Vincent and Poppy want?
Mouse (to Eep): They wanted my journal... Two of their friends went missing & they were pretty sure Hiiri was involved.
Eep (to Mouse): Oh. Shit. Don't worry. They'll be alright.
Mouse (to Eep): I hope you're right.
Eep (to Mouse): I'm right. Don't worry. It'll be fine. Poppy's with him, right? I'm sure she'll keep them both outta trouble.
Mouse (to Eep): Can you please just keep telling me that every now & then?
Eep (to Mouse): Of course. It'll be fine. C'mere.
A couple hours later:
Poppy (to Miranda & Colonel Harrington): Pssst. Hey there, sweeties... Would you like to get out of here and away from the crazy lady?
Colonel Harrington (to Poppy): Oh my, little poppet, of course, we would. I fear I do not have long for this world, if I stay.
Miranda (to Poppy): By god, yes. How on earth did you find us, me lass?
Poppy (to Miranda & Colonel Harrington): That is a story for another time... If you could just climb out the window, and head for the roof... Vincent is there with a ship. Quickly now!
Vincent (to Miranda & Colonel Harrington): Colonel. Miranda. We really should stop meeting like this. I don't mean to rush you, but move your asses! (to Poppy) We're all aboard, hun. Come on!
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent): Of course, young man.
Miranda (to Vincent): No need to shout, me boyo.
Poppy (to Vincent): I'm in, lover... Let's go!
Vincent (to Poppy): We are ghosts, hun! (to Miranda) I think you'll forgive me for being twitchy, Miranda considering how many people there...
Miranda (to Vincent): What is it, Captain?
Colonel Harrington (to Poppy): Poppy dear, do you think I could have a drink?
Poppy (to Colonel Harrington): Of course, honey. Just give me a second...
Vincent (to Poppy, Miranda & Colonel Harrington): Something's not right with the engines. Can't you hear it?
Miranda (to Vincent): That's not a good noise... I'll take the helm, if you want to go check the engines.
Vincent (to Miranda): My thoughts exactly, hun. (to Poppy) See what you can do about keeping them off our tail, hun. Use the static burst if you have to. The portal generator won't do us much bloody good if they shoot us out of the air.
Miranda (to Vincent): Aye, aye.
Poppy (to Vincent): I'll do want I can, lover. (to Colonel Harrington) If you'll excuse me, honey.
Vincent: Come on, sweetie. Don't do this to Daddy. You know you want to work for us right now. You REALLY want to work for us right now...
Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, is the glider still attached to the balloon?
Vincent (to Poppy): God, I hope so. Why. Is she listing?
Poppy (to Vincent): Something is going on... (to Miranda, Colonel Harrington & Vincent) Damn, I think we've got company.
Vincent (to Poppy & Miranda): Of course we do. Right. OK, we've got about a minute or two before we hit the jump point. I'm going to go out and release the balloon. When I give you the signal, Miranda, dump EVERYTHING we have into the engines. Poppy, once the portal generator fires up, drop the static pulse bomb. Hopefully, we'll be through the portal before it goes off.
Poppy (to Vincent): Alright, lover.
Vincent: Yikes! Shit! Stop shooting my ship, you shitheads! (to Miranda) MIRANDA! NOW! GO!
Miranda (to Vincent, Colonel Harrington & Poppy): Here goes!
Vincent (to Miranda): We're dropping too fast! Gliding, hun! We're gliding! It's not the same as flying. You're fighting the controls too much.
Colonel Harrington: I think I'm going to be ill.
Miranda (to Vincent): Don't bloody tell me what to do, boy! I've been flying longer than you have. Besides, we can definitely shake off the intruders at this speed.
Vincent (to Miranda): And this is my bloody ship, Miranda! Will you trust me, woman? Shove over, red!
Poppy (to Vincent): Fine, you bossy little man... I'll go check on your missus.
Vincent (to Poppy, Miranda & Colonel Harrington): Incoming impact! GRAB SOMETHING!
Miranda: Damn it! (to Poppy) Are you okay?
Poppy (to Vincent): Aside from a couple boxes falling & knocking me into the wall, I'm fine--
Miranda (to Poppy): Or not... Upsie daisy, little lady. Let me get you up to the cabin.
Vincent (to Poppy, Miranda & Colonel Harrington): Is everyone alright?
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent): Other than a bout of nausea, I think I'm fine, my boy.
Vincent (to Colonel Harrington): Nausea is good. Nausea is alive. (to Poppy) Poppy? Oh God... Are you alright, hun? (to Miranda) Is she alright?
Miranda (to Vincent): She's out cold... got knocked into one of the hooks in the cargo hold when we landed. She's got a bit of gash in her side. I should be able to fix her up in no time.
Vincent (to Miranda): Shit! We were coming in too fast I couldn't slow down. (to Colonel Harrington) Colonel! Get me the first aid kit from the galley!
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent): Of course.
Vincent (to Miranda): Can you do stitches, hun? (to Poppy) Don't worry, lover. You'll be fine. It's alright. It's just a bit of a scratch.
Miranda (to Vincent): Yes, it doesn't look to be too bad.
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent): Here you are. Is there anything else I can do for you, my boy?
Poppy (to Vincent & Miranda): Huh? What's going on?
Vincent (to Colonel Harrington): Thank you. Ouch! Sorry. I seem to be a bit static charged at the moment. If you could grab the whiskey or rum out of the galley, I would appreciate it. Not the Captain Birdies, if you please. (to Poppy) You hit one of the hooks in the cargo hold when we landed, lover. Miranda's patching you up now. Here. grab my hand.
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent): I can handle that, my boy.
Poppy (to Miranda): Dear god, woman! Your hands are freezing.
Miranda (to Poppy): Shush, lass. I'm concentrating.
Vincent (to Colonel Harrington): Thank you, Colonel, I... Don't pour that on the wound! We have proper antiseptic in the first aid kit, man!
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent): Oh, my mistake. I thought that was why you wanted it.
Poppy (to Vincent): You really need to practice your landings, honey. They're still a little rough.
Vincent (to Poppy): HA HA HA! I can hardly disagree, hun. Here. Take a swig of this. It's... Oh. Well, it's not good, but it's alcoholic. (to Colonel Harrington) I'm sorry, Colonel. I didn't mean to shout. I'm a bit high strung, I'm afraid.
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent): Clearly, my boy.
Poppy (to Vincent): Thank goodness. (o Miranda) OW!
Vincent (to Miranda): Miranda? Are you alright, hun? Your hands are shaking a bit. Do you want some whiskey?
Miranda (to Vincent): … Now, that I'm done with the stitches, a drink would be good. Thank you.
Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, not to break up this happy reunion with doom & gloom, but where the hell have we landed?
Vincent (to Poppy): In the water. I managed to miss the dock, which is good, as I don't need anyone else mad at me right this moment. Which body of water, precisely, and which dock, I'm not sure. The jump point I was aiming for let out in the Colonies...
Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, who would be mad at you... with that cute face?
Miranda (to Poppy, Vincent & Colonel Harrington): I think I'll go see where the hell we've landed. Colonel, care to join me?
Colonel Harrington (to Miranda): My good captain that sounds like a marvelous idea. I'd sincerely like to avoid leaving land for awhile.
Vincent (to Poppy): Wait. What? Let me see your eyes, hun. Do you have a concussion?
Poppy (to Vincent): Heh... I'm fine, honey. I mean, aside from the gash in my side. I may have left something pointing to someone else as the rescuers of our friends, honey. Not to mention, there was a little something extra in the static bomb that should scramble the radios of the ships that were pursuing us.
Vincent (to Poppy): Oh my GOD! You gorgeous, beautiful, DEVIOUS woman. Come here...
Poppy (to Vincent): Ooo, be careful, lover. I'm a little tender.
Colonel Harrington (to Poppy & Vincent): Thank you, my young friends for the rescue.
Miranda (to Poppy & Vincent): Oh yeah, what the Colonel said. Thank you. I really didn't feel like getting hitched to a man I've never seen before.
Vincent (to Colonel Harrington): Do you need us to drop you somewhere, Colonel? Well, not us, precisely, the Falcon isn't going anywhere without a balloon. (to Miranda) Of course, hun. I can't blame you. Especially, not if that stranger is a Drake.
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent & Poppy): I think I will make my way home, the old fashioned way, my boy. Air travel is clearly not my forté.
Vincent (to Colonel Harrington): If you're sure, Colonel. Please take care of yourself. And watch your back. Hiiri isn't going to be happy.
Colonel Harrington (to Vincent & Poppy): I'm good at disappearing, my boy. I'll contact Gerald & Cecily and then, we shall be like the wind. Stay safe. And, my little poppet, you know how to find me, if you need me.
Poppy (to Colonel Harrington): I do, Colonel. I'm glad we found you before it was too late.
Colonel Harrington (to Poppy & Vincent): As am I. Adieu!
Miranda (to Poppy & Vincent): And this is where I take my leave as well. I should be able to get back to Rangoon within the next few days. Thank you again for the rescue. And not to worry, once I get back, we'll move bases.
Vincent (to Miranda): Really? Where on earth did I land us? Oh, please tell me it's not someplace terrible...
Poppy (to Vincent): It looks like Istanbul to me, but it's been a little while since I've been here, honey.
Vincent (to Poppy & Miranda): Guess we can't go back to Constantinople. Anyway... Be careful, Miranda.
Miranda (to Vincent & Poppy): I will. You too.
Poppy (to Vincent): And then, there were two...
Vincent (to Poppy): So there were. Heh. I think I scared them off. How are you feeling, lover? Let's get you to the cabin.
Poppy (to Vincent): Alright, honey... Shouldn't we head home?
Vincent (to Poppy): We should. I'm going to see what I can do to get us a ride. Do you think it's safe for Percy to leave the inn?
Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, why get Percy involved? When we can just crossover.
Vincent (to Poppy): Oh. Are we near a crossover point that leads home, hun?
Poppy (to Vincent): You don't need a stable crossover point, lover. We can just make our own.
Vincent (to Poppy): Wait. What? Are you SURE you don't have a concussion?
Poppy (to Vincent): Oh... Can you not do that, lover?
Vincent (to Poppy): No. I don't think so. How on earth do you do it?
Poppy (to Vincent): Just relax, take a couple deep breaths, imagine opening a door, picture where you want to be then just push the portal open. It's a bit exhausting, which is why I prefer to use the stable portals.
Vincent (to Poppy): So THAT'S where Victor gets it from. Will you be alright if we do it now, hun? You've just been injured.
Poppy (to Vincent): It's a minor injury, honey. Besides, if we both do it then it shouldn't be so bad. But, what about the Falcon?
Vincent (to Poppy): I slipped some cash under the dock master's door. We'll lock her up, and set some of the booby traps up when we leave. We can't get her anywhere without the balloon. She'll be alright here for a few days, I'm sure. You need to get home.
Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, I'm fine, really. I normally love it when you're playing the doting husband, but it's not necessary in this instance. Or are you just doting on me because you're nervous?
Vincent (to Poppy): A little bit of both, hun. I thought I was going to faint when Miranda carried you on the bridge & she had blood on her hands.
Poppy (to Vincent): Honey, it's just an inch wide wound. Hardly, worth the bother... How about we stay here for the night?
Vincent (to Poppy): Heh. I know I'm being ridiculous. I'm sorry, lover. That sounds like a good idea. I should be able to get a new balloon hooked up tomorrow and then we can get the ship as well as ourselves home.
Poppy (to Vincent): That sounds perfect, lover.
Vincent (to Poppy): NOW will you let me dote over you?
Poppy (to Vincent): Fine, honey... Dote all you want.
Vincent (to Poppy): Heh. Then dote I will. Let's get you back to bed. Upsy daisy. Don't worry. I'm watching your stitches.
Poppy (to Vincent): Thank you, honey. You are sexy when you're doting.
Vincent (to Poppy): Heh. And you're sexy when you're smart.
