Mouse (to Robert): Hey Robert! Yeah I decided that it would be too weird to go back to it. I mean, from my perspective it's been a long time. Besides, I've got my hands full with Mars most evenings.
Robert (to Mouse): Heh. I can imagine. How is Eep coping with his instant fatherhood?
Mouse (to Robert): Strangely well, actually.
Robert (to Mouse): Really? Heh he. Well, he is just full of surprises lately, isn't he? I'm glad things are going well.
Mouse (to Robert): How's everything with you?
Robert (to Mouse): It could be better. I feel kind of bad asking this, because I feel like I'm going behind Jacob's back, but part of being in a relationship is being a nosy bugger, it seems. Do you know what on earth happened in Britannia? He came back the other day in a state and a half, muttered something about your brother, and started drinking.
Mouse (to Robert): Oh, I have honestly no idea. I haven't seen Vincent in a few days. The last time I saw him, he was in the process of storming out of the house, because I wasn't going to let him go to Britannia.
Robert (to Mouse): Well, we're both in the dark. then. I'll have to fall back on my usual tactics of booze and sex to get information out of him.
Mouse (to Robert): Heh, well have fun with that... I'll probably just call Poppy. :-P
Robert (to Mouse): Well, the way I figure it, even if I don't get any information out of him, I'll have a good time. :-P How are you holding up? Feel free not to tell me, by the way. I understand that it's been a long time since you've seen me. For you, at any rate.
Mouse (to Robert): No, it's okay. I'm actually grateful for your straight to the point type of questions. Everyone else has been on eggshells around me. I think they're worried I'm going to flip out or something. But, while it's really weird to be here, I'm happy to be home.
Robert (to Mouse): Considering what I've heard, I'm not surprised. And, for what it's worth, we're glad to have you home.
Mouse (to Robert): Do you want to know something weird? I think I have memories of being here & being there, too...
Robert (to Mouse): Really? Wow. That has to be confusing as hell. Jacob told me that can happen when you spend too much time in Britannia... You end up with double memories, kind of. I'm still a little fuzzy on the details, to be honest.
Mouse (to Robert): Yeah, it seems kinda like that... it's making me feel a little discombobulated. I'm sure it'll go away eventually.
Robert (to Mouse): Well, if you ever want anyone who won't walk on eggshells around you, I'm your man. I should get back to my kitty litter article. Take care of yourself, madam. I'm a door away if you need me.
Mouse (to Robert): Thanks! You too.
