A Strange & Winding Road: Day 79

Vincent (to Poppy): There's my beautiful lady. Aaaand there's a look. You have a look, hun. Did everything not go well?

Poppy (to Vincent): Did you know, honey, that teachers are not allowed to shoot their students even if they're being annoying? How am I supposed to instill fear & respect in them? I mean, I'm teaching spies not kindergarten.

Vincent (to Poppy): Hee hee. Well, I think if you shoot students for being annoying, you'll soon have no students at all. Don't worry, hun. You're plenty intimidating enough without having to resort to a firearm.

Poppy (to Vincent): You say the sweetest things, honey.

Vincent (to Poppy): I try. It will work out. They wouldn't have asked you to teach the class if you weren't qualified, lover.

Poppy (to Vincent): Heehee. And, here I was thinking they just wanted to make sure they knew where I was, instead of being freelance, honey.

Vincent (to Poppy): Well that's a second possibility. Eek! Hey, hey! No shooting your husband either! Especially not when he's holding the baby.

Poppy (to Vincent): Well then, don't make it so tempting, honey.

Vincent (to Poppy): What? Me? NOT be tempting? I don't think I know how to do that...

Poppy (to Vincent): You are so lucky that I like you, honey... Quick, give me a kiss before we go see Molly & Family.

Vincent (to Poppy): Hee hee. I am infinitely lucky. Have another kiss on account of you liking me so much. Are you ready to visit your family?

Poppy (to Vincent): Yes, I think so. Are you ready to talk to Bernard about a job, lover?

Vincent (to Poppy): Of course. Why wouldn't I be? I'm not nervous. Why would you think I'm nervous? I'm the very picture of calm, hun.

Poppy (to Vincent): Well, I was just wondering, honey, since you seem to be cutting off the circulation in my hand with your grip.

Vincent (to Poppy): Oh good heavens. I'm sorry, hun! If the truth has to be told, Bernard makes me a tad twitchy still. Part of it might stem from the fact that he always seems to be flexing his fists whenever I'm around.

Poppy (to Vincent): Heehee, I think that's just the nature of big brothers, honey. As long as he hasn't asked to talk with you frankly and on your own, I think you're safe.

Vincent (to Poppy): Safe may be a relative term, hun. He did say he wanted to talk.

Poppy (to Vincent): Oh... I'm sorry, lover. Well, on the plus side, I'll be the prettiest young widow ever. :-P

Vincent (to Poppy): Heh. There's no doubt about that. I'm glad your priorities are in order, hun. Here we are. I may has well get this done. Here's the Little Man. Go visit with Molly. I'll see you soon. Hopefully. If I don't return... Tell Victor wonderful things about me. Lie if you have to.

Poppy (to Vincent): Heehee, it'll be fine, honey. I love you.

Vincent (to Poppy): I love you too. Be back before you can miss me.
