A Strange Old World, Day 52

Onboard the Maltese Falcon:

Nathaniel: Hey! Sorry to come aboard unannounced. I got some files for you, Aunt Poppy! Hello? Anyone here?

Eva (to Una): Yes, Una, the engines are FASCINATING, I'm not arguing that, but I don't understand why they must be so DIRTY.

Una (to Eva): Lubrication is needed to keep them moving, Eva, or they'll overheat & seize up. It's amazing.

Eva (to Nathaniel): Oh... Hello. (to Una) Do you think he's supposed to be on board, sister dear?

Una (to Eva): I don't know but he's quite handsome for a much younger man.

Eva (to Una): You do have peculiar taste, Una.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): Who... Who the fuck are you, and what the FUCK are you doing here?

Una (to Eva): At least, I have some. Unlike someone else I could mention, sister dear. (to Nathaniel) We could ask you the same thing.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): You can fucking blow me. Where's the fucking crew? I hope for your fucking sake they're alright...

Eva (to Nathaniel): Tsk. Put your pig-sticker away, vulgar boy. They're perfectly fine.

Una (to Nathaniel): They're fine. Having dinner with the Longfellows, Nathaniel. I'm guessing that's who you are. Zoe told us about you.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): Yeah? And who does that make you?

Una (to Nathaniel): Her long lost sisters, I suppose. I'm Una, she's Eva. Stop glaring, we're harmless.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): ... More clones, huh? Fat fucking Christ on a unicycle. I thought... Never the fuck mind what I thought. How the hell did you end up HERE? You end up with the Hiiri mind-fuck piggyback problem too?

Una (to Nathaniel & Eva): No, I don't think so... Do you understand anything that's coming out of his mouth, Eva?

Eva (to Una): I believe I understood some of the more--colorful--adjectives and adverbs, but the rest is a mystery.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure you're fucking shocked. I'm guessing that's a "no" on my prior question, then... You two got nothin' to do with Hiiri, do you?

Una (to Nathaniel): Other than apparently looking like her? No, we don't.

Eva (to Nathaniel): That opinion puts you firmly in the minority, Nathaniel.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): It's Nate. And I doubt that. If they thought you were a threat, my aunt and uncle wouldn't leave you alone to wander all over the fucking ship. Especially not my Uncle. And yeah. You look a FUCKLOAD like Hiiri.

Una (to Nathaniel): Well, according to Zoe, we're more like her.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): Heh. That sounds like fucking Zoe... Believe me. There are worse people to be like.

Eva (to Una): Una, I think he KNEW Hiiri.

Una (to Eva): I think you're right, Eva.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): You do, huh? Zoe tell you that too?

Una (to Nathaniel & Eva): No… I have no desire to stand here & be accused any longer. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to make some tea.

Nathaniel (to Eva & Una): Calm your tits. I wasn't accusing you of shit. Do me a favor and tell my aunt I stopped by, alright? And, since I know you're fucking curious, yeah. I knew Hiiri.
