Leon: Um…can anyone tell me why Poppy was in bed with Delia and I while Vincent was on my couch with Big Pete this AM?
Delia: oh lord my head.... what the damn hell happened? Wait, wait... do I want to know? ....um... I can't tell if these are my pants or vincents. Which raises uncomfortable questions.
Vincent (to Leon, Delia & Poppy): I'd also like 2 know y I feel like the bottom of a taxi cab. WHAT happened last nite? If I'm going 2 wake up in such interesting settings, I'd like 2 remember how I got there.
Mouse (to Leon): Oh... do you not remember what happened last night, either?
Leon (to Mouse): Sadly, not really. While I believe it must have been fun, I think I'll be paying damages for the bushes and grass out front.
Eep (to Mouse): Hey, Killer. How are you feeling?
Mouse (to Eep): Like someone hit me with a truck & then backed up... what the hell happened? I only had 2 rum & cokes. And, then I just drank soda for the rest of the night.
Eep (to Mouse): Was it Delia or Vincent who gave you your drinks? No one else handed you anything did they?
Mouse (to Eep): They both brought me my drinks & I kept them in the booth. The only people in there were me & Leon. Why?
Eep (to Mouse): You were acting REALLY strange last night. I thought someone might have slipped something in your drink. Do you remember?
Mouse (to Eep): Strange, like how? The last thing I remember was you telling me about everyone going on about their pants.
Eep (to Mouse): Um... I may have had to, uh, convince you to put some of your clothes back on.
Mouse (to Eep): Oh... well, that's embarrassing. And trying to get you home was... um, interesting.
Eep (to Mouse): EVERYONE was weird last night.
Mouse (to Eep): Really? I was so engrossed in working & getting that stupid CD player to work properly, I wasn't paying any attention.
Eep (to Mouse): Yeah. Delia & Leon were pretty, uh, involved with each other all night.
Mouse (to Eep): Well, that certainly explains why she's not here.
Eep (to Mouse): And I'm not sure, but I think at one point Leon & Vincent made out. All I know for sure is that they were REALLY close to one another and Delia & Poppy were hooting.
Mouse (to Eep): Well, that's not really that unexpected... but, um, I didn't do anything like that, did I? Because, I honestly don't remember & I'd hate to have done something to upset you.
Eep (to Mouse): No! No. Don't worry. I took you home as soon as you started acting weird. The only one you tried to get friendly with was me.
Mouse (to Eep): Well, that's good... and, now I wish I remembered.
Eep (to Mouse): Well you made driving home an interesting experiment in ways to REALLY distract the driver. And then I put you to bed. You didn't miss much. :p
Mouse (to Eep): Well, you are a gentleman & a scholar. :-)
Eep (to Mouse): C'mon. I thought you'd been drugged. I'm not that big a dick. Not, uh, not that you didn't make acting like a stand up guy REALLY hard. TOUGH! I mean, um, tough.
Mouse (to Eep): No, I was being serious... thank you for not taking advantage of the situation.
Eep (to Mouse): Oh. Well, yeah. Course. I wouldn't do something like that. Um. You're welcome. I'm sorry I had to leave before you were awake, though. But, you seemed OK.
Mouse (to Eep): It's a terrible shame that you had to leave... we haven't really properly made up. ;-)
Eep (to Mouse): Oh. Um, yeah. Wow. Uh, well I get off early today. And I still owe you sorry I was a jerk empanadas.
Mouse (to Eep): Ooh, yeah... I almost forgot about empanadas tonight... hey, weird question, what did you drink last night?
Eep (to Mouse): Uhhhh, just coffee, I think. It's what I usually have on my long days. Why?
Mouse (to Eep): Well... I was just thinking that it's awfully weird that all of us were acting funny last night, when none of us were drinking. I mean, I know Leon & I both had a couple of cocktails, but overall we were drinking soda or water. I think we were drugged.
Eep (to Mouse): Yeah. You were certainly acting like you had been. But... how the fuck would someone slip something into EVERYONE'S drink without anybody noticing?
Mouse (to Eep): I'm thinking it would be someone who had access to behind the bar... we have a water filter system that's under the bar. I started thinking about it last week, when everyone in the bar was acting like it was mating season.
Eep (to Mouse): What the fuck? Who would... wait. Nevermind. We all know who. That dried up...
Mouse (to Eep): Yeah, and she was strangely absent this weekend.
Eep (to Mouse): That fucker! Somebody could have been hurt.
Mouse (to Eep): Well, I don't know for sure if it was her... I mean, I didn't think she'd ever do something so malicious & potentially dangerous.
Eep (to Mouse): Yeah, well. She's suspect numero uno as far as I'm concerned.
Mouse (to Eep): I love it when you speak Spanish... oh god. Sorry. My brain feels like mush.
Eep (to Mouse): ¿En serio? Te gusta escuchar cuando me hablan español? Lo tendré en cuenta. Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Mouse (to Eep): I have no idea what you just said... and I have never wanted you more. :-P
Eep (to Mouse): I should stick to Spanish. No one will be able to tell when I've said somehing stupid.
Mouse (to Eep): I don't know it might get you in trouble with me... not the bad kind. god. Sorry. My mind is apparently in the gutter.
Eep (to Mouse): Christ! You're really trying to make sure I never speak English again, aren't you?
Mouse (to Eep): Yes. No... maybe? Sorry... I think I need to take a nap or something.
Vincent (to Mouse): Darling sister, I feel like I'm dying. Know that I loved u most of all.
Mouse (to Vincent): Oh, sweetie, I feel your pain... If you go, know that I'm not far behind you.
Vincent (to Mouse): Sweetie, I actually could use some help. I can't seem 2 b able 2 stand up properly... I'm feeling rlly dreadful.
Mouse (to Vincent): Do you want me to come and get you?
Vincent (to Mouse): Yes, pls. I don't think I can drive myself.
Mouse (to Vincent): Alright, sweetie, let me throw some clothes on & I'll be over there shortly.
Vincent (to Mouse): TY, sweet. I'm @ Leon's wearing an assortment of other ppl's clothing. Let me know when ur here. He has a snake.
Mouse (to Vincent): Uh ok... Wait. A snake? A real snake? God. I hate snakes.
Vincent (to Mouse): Mmm hmm. Big Pete. I know ur not a fan. That's y I warned u.
Mouse (to Eep): Ugh, I'm off to be a dutiful sister & rescue Vincent from Leon's house...
A short time later:
Mouse (to Vincent): I just pulled up... I see what Leon meant about the bushes & the grass out front, now.
Vincent (to Mouse): Mmm hmm. We were lucky we weren't killed. Or arrested. Or both. B rite out. Leon is helping me navigate the stairs.
Eep (to Mouse): How's Vincent?
Mouse (to Eep): I got him to his apartment, I think I'm gonna get him settled somewhere comfortable. He looks a little peaky.
Eep (to Mouse): Is he OK?
Mouse (to Eep): He said he feels pretty terrible...
Eep (to Mouse): Should we take him to the doctor, you think? I don't know what's is in his system so I don't know if I should be worried or not.
Mouse (to Eep): Awww, you're worried about him. I was actually thinking the same thing... I'm going to call our family doctor & see what she says.
Eep (to Mouse): Yeah. Yeah. Just lemme know and I'll come with you if you want.
Mouse (to Eep): Ok, it looks like Dr. Addison is going to come over & take a look at him... so thankfully no hospital, at the moment.
Eep (to Mouse): Wow. That's awesome she'll make a house call.
Mouse (to Eep): We've known her forever... she helped us out of a jam when Vincent first came to live with me. Ummm, Can I ask you for a favor? Would you mind terribly if we put the empanadas dinner on hold & hang out here tonight?
Eep (to Mouse): Yeah. No. Not at all. I was actually gonna ask if you wanted to skip empanadas. I can pick up pizza or Chinese or something.
Mouse (to Eep): Chinese would be great. Thank you. You know, you really are wonderful.
Eep (to Mouse): You keep saying it, and I might believe it someday.
Mouse (to Eep): Oh no, you found out my secret plan. :-)
Eep (to Mouse): How are you doing?
Mouse (to Eep): I'm fine... just concerned about Vincent. The doctor should be here any second now. And, trying to be patient & find out what if anything is wrong before I go punch that fat cow in the face.
Eep (to Mouse): We don't know for sure it's her, remember? But, if you wanna kick her ass, I'll be your alibi.
Mouse (to Eep): I know... I'm just worried. Vincent's good at putting on a brave face... so I can't quite tell how bad he's really feeling.
Eep (to Mouse): I'm getting off in about 15 min or so. Lemme know what the doctor says when she gets there.
Mouse (to Eep): Will do...
An hour or so later:
Mouse (to Eep): Ok, Dr. Addison just left... She said it looks like he's been roofied. The drug should be out of his system in 72 hours... He's basically going to feel like he's had a terrible flu & need to sleep a lot for the next few days. And, if he's not feeling better by the 72 hour mark, I should bring him in & then they'll run some tests. She also recommended going & getting an over the counter drug test & see if we can test the water at the club.
Eep (to Mouse): Shit.
Mouse (to Eep): Now, can I go & punch Satanica?
Eep (to Mouse): I think what you should do is call Sasha. THEN punch Satanica.
Mouse (to Eep): You're right... (to Delia, Leon & Poppy) Hey. I just thought you should know that I had someone take a look at Vincent & she thinks we've been roofied. So, it'll be out of our system in 72 hours at the most. She also said to be prepared to feel awful & want to sleep a lot for the next few days.
Delia (to Mouse, Poppy & Leon): .... awesome. I know I joke about roofie coladas but really? Damn.
Leon (to Mouse, Delia & Poppy): Awesome. Who the hell would do something like that to the whole lot of us? Also, how?
Mouse (to Delia): Yeah, this seems a little malicious... (to Leon) I have a sneaking suspicion... but I don't have any actual proof. But, I'm calling Sasha about it, so he can look into it.
Eep (to Mouse): I can't believe that almost the whole bar got roofied.
Mouse (to Vincent): Little brother, do you want me to stay & keep an eye on you?
Vincent (to Mouse): Aww, sweetie. Ur prolly not feeling well either. U don't have 2 stay. I'll b fine.
Mouse (to Vincent): Are you sure? I don't mind... and Eep has already offered to bring food over.
Vincent (to Mouse): I know ur worried, but all I'm planning 2 do is go 2 sleep. I promise 2 call if i feel worse or if I need anything.
Mouse (to Vincent): Alright... I'll head home then. (to Eep) I know... it's pretty messed up. Where are you? Are you on your way over? Vincent says I don't need to stay. If you haven't left yet, I can be there in 10 minutes.
Eep (to Mouse): Not yet. I just got the Chinese. I can hang out until you get here. How are you feeling? You got roofied too, ya know.
Mouse (to Eep): I'm on my way... I actually don't feel all that bad, just a little tired. I'll probably crash early, now that I've said that.
Eep (to Mouse): Well, we'll get some food in you and then you can go to bed.
Mouse (to Eep): Well, will you stay over? No funny business, I promise.
Eep (to Mouse): No funny business at all? Crush a guy's hopes, why don't you? Kidding. Kidding. Yeah. Course I'll stay over. You sure you're OK?
Mouse (to Eep): Robert is right, you are such a Mother Hen. It's sweet. I didn't say not at all... I just didn't want you to feel pressured or that it was expected. When we get back to my place, Do you want to eat like civilized folks at the table or like savages in my bedroom & watch a movie?
Eep (to Mouse): Heh. I'm OK with being a savage. And, uh, you don't have to feel bad about wanting to, uh...
A few hours later:
Vincent: Good gracious. Whatever I was drugged w/ last nite is giving me horrendous nightmares.
Poppy (to Vincent): You're not the only one, honey...
Vincent (to Poppy): Aww. Sorry u had bad dreams 2, sweetie. How r u feeling?
Poppy (to Vincent): Feeling like death warmed over, honey... I've been having a sordid love affair with my bathroom floor for the last hour. It was the only surface cool enough for me... I felt like I was overheating.
Vincent (to Poppy): I was going 2 take a bath but I was afraid I wldn't b able 2 get back into bed.
Poppy (to Vincent): Awww, honey, I wish I was there to help you out... but sadly, at the moment I'd probably just be in your way.
Vincent (to Poppy): No worries. I'm terrible company @ the mo. I can't believe we were drugged!
Poppy (to Vincent): I know! Who would do such a thing? Ok, I think I finally feel able to return to my bed. Sweet dreams, honey.
Vincent (to Poppy): u 2.
